Some fantastic sessions...lots of blog content no doubt!

Online session was very good, I was amazed at the buzz in the room. Also concerned that small shop fundraisers feel pressure to use online tools before they even know what they are and how it might enhance their programs.

We agree of course that best to do the basics well first. Like when the telephone was invented people had to learn to use it and understand it's purpose before they could actually install it in their home and have it be a part of their daily communications.

Great to see you and meet Ruth Ann.
KimberleyKimberley MacKenziehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10556232001049682092noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8660290458592724704.post-12393953545694650422009-05-14T13:48:00.000+10:002009-05-14T13:48:00.000+10:00As a former Humber Grad I learnt alot from the AFP...As a former Humber Grad I learnt alot from the AFP conference last year on the usage of Social Media in fundraising.

I applied to my job this year and even integrated it into our new website.

The results are slowly coming in - facebook and twitter are keeping our donors engaged on a daily basis with our programs. But I still find that our donors continue to use old methods to donate.

If anyone has any more stats/methods that they are willing to share please post away!

Humber Rocks!
JamJamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14795968838057075476noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8660290458592724704.post-78418291694920748962009-05-14T10:22:00.000+10:002009-05-14T10:22:00.000+10:00If you treat social media like direct response - t...If you treat social media like direct response - then you will be disappointed. Treat it like a major/planned giving cultivation and you'll be very happy... eventually.

;)

Good job today, Jonathan. I was surprised by your approach.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
